Who We Are
The history of the Nannini brand has been tied to Siena for over a hundred years. It is among the historic buildings of the city of the Palio that elegant cafés were established and the typical Sienese sweets were created, which today leave the city walls and are appreciated abroad.
To retrace his steps, we must go back to the early 20th century, when Guido Nannini opened the "Bar Ideale" in the city's historic center. By 1930, the company had obtained a license as a "liquor and pastry factory," launching the confectionery business that would make the Nannini brand famous worldwide. During these years, the "Conca d'Oro," the bar that had been a favorite with generations of Sienese, moved to the heart of the city, now Via Banchi di Sopra, a stone's throw from Piazza del Campo. Within a few years, Nannini signs had expanded to other city squares with the opening of new outlets, and in 1948, production of panforte, ricciarelli, and other traditional Sienese sweets began.
But already in 1919, Guido Nannini combined the art of pastry-making with a passion for a skill almost unknown in Italy at the time: roasting. Even today, the Nannini brand continues to provide state-of-the-art coffee, blending the finest coffees with experience, technological advances, and professionalism to enhance their qualities, aromas, and flavors.
Today the Nannini brand tells a centuries-old story linked to the ability to innovate while always remaining firmly anchored to tradition, offering, in Italy and around the world, the original taste of Siena and Tuscany
